Perforated Aluminum Veneer Of The Embassy

The French Embassy of the French-French Academy in Jakarta was built on the famous Jalan Thamrin Street in 1975. Today, after more than 40 years, the exterior of the building is still modern and modern.

The project was designed to be a clear expression of the principles of functional organization.

A two-layer pedestal fills all of the buildable areas. Includes spaces that are often open to the public, such as the embassy management district, and the main functional area of the French Academy. The pedestal is covered by volcanic stones, and the two large recesses direct attention to two different entrances, one to the embassy and the other to the college.

On the pedestal, one is the Chancellor’s Office and the other is the College Office. Regarding the material, a very important contrast is formed between the dark adjustment of the volcanic stone of the pedestal and the clearing of the two volumes on the top. From the perspective of safety and accessibility, to ensure accuracy, the size of the ministerial body is protected by punched aluminum veneer, and the punched aluminum veneer provides light, privacy and security.
