World Architecture Culture Tour – Canada Bergeron Excellence Engineering Management Center
Canada’s Bergeron Engineering Excellence Center is located at York University in Toronto. The project rethinks the campus hierarchy of modern learning styles. Taking into account the cheats design process between the architects, Lasende Engineering College and York University, this world-class facility challenges the old model of modern tactical design rooted in the way students learn.
Student productivity drives the design process of the project and optimizes the space for learning, exploration and communication. The complete technology and building system allows for no lecture halls, fewer classrooms, and a project-based learning environment. Contrary to typical architectural models, students get the best, brightest space, while the office is laid out in the core area. Breaking down barriers and ample space for communication creates an opportunity for teachers and students to communicate spontaneously. The unique exterior design has a novel decorative effect, and the perfect combination of indoor metal ceiling and lighting.
