World Architecture Culture Tour – Chengdu City Museum
On the periphery of the Chengdu Museum building is a sturdy copper alloy plate surrounded by a layer of transparent “veils” that give the outer layer a deep gold color. At night, the grid will be more transparent, and the golden light will be transmitted, like the traditional shadow play in Sichuan. The inner layer of the building is defined by various cuts and voids, and the south façade of the large glass building brings light and landscape into the inner court. The ceiling is made of wood-like aluminum square ceiling, which caters to the classical and luxurious colours of the exterior of the building.
