World Architecture Culture Tour – Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre
Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre is the largest children’s theater in the country. The design concept of the pavilion comes from auto parts and spiral curves, symbolizing the bright future of the auto industry. The pavilion was originally built as a temporary building, and components such as steel beams and LED screens are recyclable. Instead of using an all-welded structure, the building uses “plug” + “spot welding” technology to ensure the comprehensive utilization of recyclable building materials.
Part of the open space on the first floor of the Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre is enclosed to serve the small theatre and children’s activity center. By making full use of the original mezzanine of the first floor as a youth training center and expanding the office space on the top floor, the original space was more fully utilized and relocated.
